In 2022, we welcome Mrs Larissa Marchant as the new Deputy Head of Primary. Mrs Marchant’s passion for teaching goes back to her own schooling days, and looks forward to making meaningful connections as part of our School community.
I graduated from university nearly 25 years ago and have been fortunate to teach and lead across a variety of settings. I spent the first ten years of my career teaching in the Wheatbelt, and then moved to the South West with my husband and young family.
The opportunity to support Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School’s outstanding reputation for both curriculum and wellbeing lead me to this wonderful school.
I enjoy learning and constantly seek to maximise impact through study and hands-on practice. I have completed post-graduate units in both Special Education and Early Childhood and I am currently working my way through an intensive two-year course focusing on prevention and remediation for reading difficulties, including dyslexia.
I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. In fact, I completed Year 10 work experience in a junior primary classroom and have been associated with teaching ever since.
I enjoy working with people and feel privileged to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people.
I look forward to getting to know every single child and establishing relationships with staff, parents and the community.
