South West schools tackle the wet and muddy Cross Country course

On Tuesday, 2 August, Secondary Schools across the South West tackled the muddy and wet Cross Country course at Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School. This was the first time this annual event has been hosted by the School, with the regular course unavailable.

Our School placed third out of the 16 schools competing, which is fantastic, as many of them have over 1,000 students to choose from. All the runners were very competitive and excited, despite rain, hail and mud puddles on the track.

Two of our female runners placed first in their races- Santina Pillonel in Year 10 and Isabella Bidesi in Year 9. Our Year 9 and Year 7 students also took our first place for the 1km relay.

Congratulations to all our students who participated in this event, a first for our School!
