2021 was good year for Mountain Biking and it was great to welcome a host of new riders, including many Year 7 students to the group. We also welcomed Mrs Littlefair and Mr Dunn to our riding program and thank them for their help this year.
Last season we finished the year off with our second annual community camp, where we stayed at Margaret River and rode the excellent trails in the area. This year we had a workshop session, some rides at our local trail network at Pile Road and time spent in Dunsborough riding and working on the trails down there.
A number of students continue to commit to the local enduro races and their dedication and skill in this area is great to see.
A highlight for this year was the time spent at the end of Term 2, during Impact Week. We were able to take a large number of students to Dunsborough each day and help out with extending the local trail network. This was a fantastic opportunity for the students to give back to the mountain biking community and help build some quality trails. The feedback about our students from the volunteers involved was excellent. I would like to say another big thank you to the parents, staff and volunteers who helped make this happen.
Finally, I would like to thank Mr Dunn, Mrs Littlefair, Mr O’Brien, parents and other involved staff on their efforts and support this year and look forward to 2022.
