Introducing the 2025 Student Executive

Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School is proud to introduce our 2025 Student Executive, led by School Captains Zac Whirledge and Stella Commisso, alongside Chairperson Mihika Agrawal. This dedicated team of student leaders is eager to make a meaningful impact on the school community, with a strong focus on environment, wellbeing, and presentation standards.

A Year of Leadership and Growth

For Zac, stepping into the role of School Captain is both a challenge and an opportunity for personal growth. “I’ve struggled in the past to put my hand up for things, so this is a great opportunity for me to prove my capability as a leader. I am excited to face the challenges that come and eager to try to improve our school.” His enthusiasm for leadership is shared by Stella, who is looking forward to ensuring students feel connected and engaged. “With every week being so busy, important information and opportunities can go unseen. I’m excited to be a voice for the student body and support younger students.”

As Chairperson, Mihika is keen to work collaboratively with the Student Executive to bring their ideas to life. “I look forward to working closely with everyone to implement new initiatives in the school.” Her ability to stay organised and detail-focused makes her a key figure in driving the Executive’s goals forward.

Plans for the Year Ahead

The 2025 Student Executive has identified three key areas to focus on throughout the year:

  • Environment: Enhancing the school’s physical landscape to create a better space for students.
  • Wellbeing: Promoting mental health awareness and ensuring that students feel supported.
  • Uniform & Presentation: Refining presentation policies while maintaining the spirit of ‘The Grammar Way’.

In addition to these initiatives, the Executive will also play a pivotal role in organising school events such as the School Ball, casual clothes days, and other community-building activities. “We have a long list of ideas and are looking forward to putting them into action,” says Mihika.

The BCGS Experience

All three leaders express deep appreciation for the supportive and opportunity-rich environment at BCGS. “The countless opportunities at our school encourage students to push themselves out of their comfort zone in an enjoyable way,” says Zac. Stella values the strong relationships between students and staff, noting that “classrooms have a positive vibe interlinked with hard work.” Mihika echoes these sentiments, sharing that “BCGS has a welcoming community that always encourages me to do my best.”

With such a motivated and dynamic team at the helm, 2025 is shaping to be an exciting year for our School. The Student Executive is ready to lead with enthusiasm, teamwork, and a commitment to making a positive difference.
