Grammar Hawks catch Netball Fever

In the last few weeks of Term, The Grammar Hawks 7 team travelled to Perth to watch the West Coast Fever take on the NSW Swifts.

It was a thrilling game, with the Fever winning by seven points. The team is coached by Mrs Claire Swart, who worked with the parents to organise this opportunity.

“Some of the girls on the team have not played netball for several years and for some this is their first season. Watching the game provided them with context around the skills we practice and the drills we run,” she stated.

“Watching an elite sporting team, playing at its best, was just brilliant! It also provided the girls with a vision of where they can go, should they wish to continue their netball playing into the future,” Ms Swart said.

The girls had fabulous time, and enjoyed many different aspects of seeing the game.

‘It really was also just a fabulous opportunity to build some great team morale too!” finished Mrs Swart.

The girls reflected on what they enjoyed:
