The Class of 2023 has ended their School journey on a high note, with 100% WACE Graduation. Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School remains one of the few Schools in the state to consistently have its graduating class all achieve their WACE.
The Class of 2023 also had 67% of the cohort sit the ATAR, with 43% of these students achieving an ATAR above 90. This places these students in the top 10% of the nation.
“These achievements are testament to the hard work and perseverance of the students and I commend all in the Class of 2023 for their results,” Mr Matthew O’Brien, Head of School stated. ” I would also like to thank the staff, who have supported many of these students through their entire secondary school journey.”
Seven of the cohort are in the top 5% of the nation, all achieving an ATAR of 95 or higher.
“I would like to acknowledge our top performing student Aaliyah O’Connell, along with Matilda Coulson, Alan McGregor, Soham Saini, Willian Darlow, Lucy Jensen and Josh Pether for their outstanding results, all achieving 95+,” Mr O’Brien said.
Mr O’Brien and Mrs Chiera were pleased to congratulate some of these students in person this week and look forward to officially inducting them all as Distinguished Scholars at the first Secondary Assembly in 2024.
Hear from four of the top achieving students as they reflect on their results and give some tips for future students planning to sit ATAR.
